- Continuing down the mine our heroes saw a large number of sprites on the ground dead. Investigating them they found they had been killed with slashing wounds somewhat recently. While the group couldn’t agree on when, everyone agreed that it was within the past week.
- As our heroes were looking at the dead sprites they were ambushed by swarms of tooth fairies. The tooth fairies were attacking indiscriminately, so Monday quickly grabbed Daphne and flew her up, before our heroes took care of the swarms.
- Daphne told our heroes about her friend down there, Rex, a draxie who liked to pull pranks.
- When Monday went down to talk to Fang about his fireballs, Fang seemed to not remember what happened. Shortly after, as Monday and Grune turned a corner, they saw Sparky asking about where his corgi was. Looking behind them Monday and Grune saw the Sparky they had left behind, Sparky and Fang both moved forwards and everyone but Fang attempted to attack the new Sparky, killing the poor thing, it transformed back into a draxie. Our heroes speculated that this might be Rex, and decided to try and revive him.
- Exploring some more our heroes came upon a hole in the mine, even though they had darkvision they could not see through it. Fang shot a ray of frost in the hole and a large burning fire elemental came out, it immediately jumped through our heroes exploding and almost killing them. Monday, Fang, and Sparky’s arboreal sapling fled in one direction, Sparky and his Corgy in another, and Grune stayed where he was. As Monday and Fang decided what to do, they noticed flames being thrown against the mine wall. Fang send a living waterfall in, and Monday tried to see what was going on as well. Monday and Fang regrouped for a little bit then went to go check again. They found neither Grune nor Sparky, nor any traces of them.
- While trying to decide what to do, Sparky’s sapling tried to make like a spider, and eventually pointed to Magia on a map. Our remaining heroes decided to escort it there, where it brought them to Velachamon who was saddened to hear about what happened.
