- Valora did some exploring of the Baron’s mansion, she encountered a couple of locked doors as well as a library, in which the Baron could be found with his two large Mastifs. Continuing on she found a trapdoor leading to the attic, which was a complete mess. There was one room on the other side, and although she thought she heard something, upon opening the door she was shocked, quite literally as an electric explosion almost killed her. Inside the room were some skeletal cats and a magic circle on the floor. She caused a bit of a mess before leaving.
- The rest of our heroes were still talking with Lady Fiona, who, trying to help our heroes understand her disdain of the burgomaster, introduced our heroes to her daughter, Stella, who was acting like a cat. Lady Fiona explained that Stella was to be wed to the Baron’s son, Victor, however after spending a bit of time with him Stella returned in this state. Our heroes retired to the inn for the night.
- Valora headed out to explore some more, although she was shocked to see the Baron pacing up and down the hallway with his two dogs. She told him she was going to the washroom, and he let her by. She instead went to one of the locked rooms she had encountered previously, managing to get in. Upon seeing the room was full of dolls that looked eerily similar to Ireena. Valora quickly headed out and back to her room for the night. Shortly thereafter, the Baron introduced her to Vasili von Holtz, a traveler who was seeking refuge for the night as his friend Henrik’s home had burnt down.
- In the morning, our heroes headed to Lady Fiona’s and then headed towards the burgomeister’s for the festival of the blazing sun. During this time Vasili suggested to Valora that they aid the Baron as thanks for his hospitality, apparently he was anxious as the captain of the guard, Izek, hadn’t returned last night. The crows were gathering outside but Valora left, running into her traveling companions briefly, and explained to meet at the church. Vasili told Valora he would meet her there
- As the group was approaching they saw the Wacther brothers running away from a sabretooth tiger. Our heroes managed to calm it down, as Rictavio came to claim the tiger.
- As our heroes were approaching the church they saw a couple of wolves standing outside the orphanage, our heroes decided to investigate, while the wolves weren’t hostile at first, as soon as our heroes opened the door the wolves attacked, as they saw Strahd, biting and killing the children. Our heroes tried to save the children, but were unable to save them all, as Strahd nonchalantly went about his business before turning into a bat and flying away. One of the wolves turned out to be a werewolf, and it was running away with a child on its back, our heroes managed to kill him before he escaped.
