- Our heroes killed the orcs as they came in.
- Skarr then flew up to get an overhead view. There he saw a hill giant closing an entrance using a boulder, however realized he and his companions would still be able to get on past it. Phantomquill however would not be able to.
- On his way down our heroes heard a loud gong ringing.
- Our heroes went up to the second level and went invisible, sneaking past the boulder and going unnoticed by the hill giant.
- There were two very heavy curtains here that our heroes did not want to move. After waiting for a bit one of the curtains opened up and a large group of bugbears marched out.
- Our heroes convinced the hill giant that one of the giants in the other room was calling for him, causing him to open the curtain and allow our heroes through.
- The room was filled with hill giants and goblins.
- As they were sneaking along they saw a human woman being brought to the biggest hill giant there, who seemed to be about to eat her.
- Skarr shot the giant leader down almost instantaneously, as Hark called out to the goblins to revolt and now was their time.
- The goblins followed Hark despite a large number of them dying to the hill giants.
- After our heroes finished off the giants they talked with the lady a bit, and learned that the giants had come and destroyed the town and set themselves up here.
- There were a few more giants downstairs, as well as the remaining townsfolk who had been kept prisoner.
- Our heroes fought off the remaining giants and freed the townsfolk, including their friend Harlequinn.
- Hark met the bugbears who liked the thought of being free from the giants but insisted they should be the ones to rule. Hark convinced them of a 1 on one battle to determine leadership. Although it was a difficult fight, in the end Hark won, killing the bugbear leader.
- Our heroes spend the night, as Antkeep investigated she determined that the land itself seemed to be breathing. Sharing some of this information with the others our heroes readied themselves for the next step of their journey.
