- Our heroes took a short rest to recoup. Thankfully, Antkeep had just the thing to help Skarr who was currently under the weather, a greater restoration spell.
- After they rested they saw Count Rhodar rising from the ground as the room started to glow red. They briefly saw his as a fiery red dragon.
- Combat started with Skarr going all out. The count even managed to charm our heroes for a bit, turning them against each other, as he cut them with his sword, absorbing their blood, and even turned into a fiery dragon. In the end, thanks to an onslaught of spells and many arrows from Skarr, our heroes took him down as he disappeared into a wisp of smoke.
- Our heroes started looking around the keep for the count, worried that like some of the other vampires he may have popped into a coffin.
- They eventually found a trap door under where he rose up, going in they encountered a darkness so thick even those with darkvision couldn’t see through it. Once again the right spell is what was needed as our heroes illuminated the room, opened the coffin, and killed the count inside.
- Our heroes continued to explore, trying to go through the room with the black liquid. Trying to fly over it didn’t help as a hand reached out to grab whatever creature was flying, dragging it into the devil’s ichor.
- Theorizing the room they were heading into was the same one that the underground hallway led into, they tried to get in, but were unable to get the trap door opened. George used acid to melt it open as piles upon piles of platinum, gold, silver and copper came down.
- Our heroes tried to figure out what to do next. They were particularly curious about the an unsigned contract with a devil.
- Our heroes took off and discussed their next action.
