- Our heroes began to approach Yserthrax’s lair, however Shez, concerned about the need for darkvision, decided to cast true sight. Thanks to this, Shez noticed the eye of the giant overmind was an illusion, so our heroes went 90 feet up.
- Once again, Shez was able to see through yet another illusionary wall and witnessed the dragon.
- The dragon began to move as Shez alerted the group that it was aware of their presence.
- Yserthrax summoned some huge green crystals which blocked our heroes’ sight and their space.
- Jurano flew up as Ivar squeezed through the crystals before becoming huge. Harlequin misty stepped with his pegasus and George turned into mist and strolled on in. Shez and Antkeep remained on outside.
- The two exchanged spells and blows with Ysterthrex who unleashed her breath attack.
- Yserthrex flapped her wings and started warping reality, teleporting George, Halrequinn and his pegasus, and Ivar away to different locations. Ivar found himself in room with 3 pits and two brain people. Harlequin in a library with a couple of brain people and a hole in the ceiling, and George in a room with a bunch of brain things and brain people. Jurano managed to avoid the teleportation.
- As the group grew scared, unsure where any of them were, Jurano prepared to teleport away, casting wall of force around himself and starting a teleportation circle. Ivar was ready to run. Shez went to grab Antkeep’s hand to dimension door them away but Antkeep slapped Shez away, saying she was staying.
- Shez, scared, unsure what to do, decided to fight and summoned an army of animated objects. As they started to a few drops of the dragon’s blood hit the ground, it was wounded. Reinvigorated, Shez shared this news with the party, and Ivar was now encouraged as well.
- George was slowly moving around in mist form while the pegasus was defeated.
- Harlequinn flew up through the hole in the ceiling. He noticed two familiar faces, Skarr and Antkeep. Skarr said that if Harlequinn didn’t lay down his weapons and surrender he would kill Antkeep. Shocked and unsure what to do Harlequinn shared this with the party.
- Unsure of what to do, Shez informed Harlequinn that Antkeep was still with them. The Antkeep with Harlequinn let him know that she had been kidnapped sometime ago and replaced with a fake. She was out of spells slots and unable to rest and very exhausted.
- Ivar ran out and drank a potion of flying, allowing him to fly up and help our Shez and possibly Antkeep. Ivar got in the dragon’s face and started fighting it. Yserthrax began to fly off but Antkeep cast a wall of light.
- Shez realized true sight should reveal the real Antkepp, but then realized that Antkeep wears a mask and is fully hidden in her robes. Shez asked Antkeep questions and tried to figure out if this was the real Antkeep or not.
- The dragon ended up falling to our heroes’ deadly attacks, Ivar and Shez then turned their attention to Antkeep. Shez removed Antkeep’s mask, showing Antkeep’s true face even with turesight. Ivar was also able to see the curse mark that had once been on him. Still, unconvinced that this was the real Antkeep, Ivar knocked Antkeep out.
- Meanwhile, Harlequinn, still unsure as to what to do, decided to cast greater restoration on his Antkeep, as he did, he realized that what he was touching was a slimy creature, not the Antkeep he knew, he quickly allerted his allies who proceeded to revive their Antkeep.
- Jurano, Ivar, Shez, and Antkeep then started to rush off into the dragon’s lair looking for Harlequinn and George, who had met up and began fighting the fake Antkeep, Skar, and the brain people.
- While searching, the group passed the green dragon, Ansillion, who attacked the brain people and had gifts for Antkeep and Shez as thanks for letting him go.
- The group made it up to Antkeep and George who were struggling in their fight, losing consciousness, but Shez rushed in and healed them up as the group finished the fight.
