The journey resumed with our heroes finding a statue of Narala, a majestic female centaur, partially bitten by a basilisk. As they discussed this find, a basilisk attacked. They responded swiftly, with some closing their eyes to avoid the pertification, and defeated it. Unfortunately, Narala had been petrified for too long to be saved by the basilisk’s blood.
While recovering, they encountered kobolds arguing over a bag marked “Gallentine Deliveries.” The kobolds demanded money in exchange for the bag. When negotiations failed, a fight broke out. After the deaths of two kobolds, the remaining one surrendered the bag for a single gold coin but was then killed.
Returning to town, they delivered the items from the bag and collected their payment.
Next, they tracked wolf footprints southward but found fresher sets heading north. Following these, they returned to the Gauntlight ruins. In a previously skipped room, a green light formed words on the wall: “Belcorra fell to the Roseguard, but we never knew of these vaults below…” It then turned into a green ribbon, leading them to a room with ghouls who questioned if our heroes had brought an offering.
Asterion’s attempt to block the doors sparked a battle. Both sides used healing magic, but our heroes ultimately prevailed. The room held a large, foul-smelling statue made of flesh, hinting at further dark mysteries awaiting them.
