Outlaws of Alkenstar Session 13 Recap: Snakes on the Airship

Our valiant heroes continued their fierce interrogation of Hirum, unveiling a sinister truth—he was a member of the dreaded Gilded Gunners, and his mission was to end their lives. Determined to get answers, they dug deeper into the conspiracy that shadowed their journey.

Outside, Stirmi encountered a wild, fearless man named Jace, who arrived on a barely functioning glider. With reckless abandon, Jace revealed that he had been sent by Phoebe to aid our heroes in their perilous quest. Captain Wynslow, never one to miss a profit, demanded that Jace pay up for a ride on her ship.

Returning to their investigation, our heroes sought to uncover who had sabotaged the vessel. The suspicion lingered on the two fake merchants, but further scrutiny led them to a surprising discovery. In the cabin crew room, they found tools that pointed to Lucky, the new ship aid, as the saboteur. Confronted, Lucky lashed out in a futile attack but met his demise shortly after being sprayed by a giant skunk.

With the ship’s cook gone, Captain Wynslow struck a deal with Jace—his fare would be covered if he took over as cook. As our weary heroes settled in for the night, a sudden storm brewed. Thunder roared and what appeared to be rain turned out to be a downpour of snakes! Thankfully Stirmi, the group’s druid communicated with the serpents and calmed them, averting another disaster.

The next day, our heroes landed safely and took the opportunity to resupply before setting their sights back on the skies, ready for the adventures that lay ahead. Their resolve was stronger than ever, united against the unseen threats lurking in Alkenstar.
