Our heroes returned to Otari, and upon reaching their tavern, they found that Dorianna, to everyone’s amazement except Dreg’s, was fully restored, with her hand no longer withered. The joyous news prompted them to bring Dorianna to Mayor Oseph, who was overwhelmed with gratitude for his daughter’s recovery. In return, he promised to secure equipment from Absalom for our heroes as a token of thanks.
Spending a few days in town to craft and prepare, the heroes readied themselves for their next venture into the vaults. They chose to further explore Jafaki’s lair instead of delving straight into the deepest parts of the dungeon.
Returning to a room filled with oozes, they encountered a challenge as the creatures kept splitting upon being attacked. Despite this, their perseverance paid off, and they emerged victorious. Pressing on, they reached the room with the hydras. Noticing the creatures still asleep, they adjusted the settings on the transparent walls. Suddenly, they were ambushed by the same blue and purple serpentine creature that had previously attacked Torren. The creature almost drowned Asterion by filling his lungs with water, but our heroes managed to defeat it, thanks to a well-placed holy water bomb.
The session was marked by both relief and peril, with Dorianna’s miraculous recovery and the heroes’ continued exploration of the mysterious and dangerous depths of the Abomination Vaults.
