Our heroes discovered another fragment of a pendant on the creature’s body. They decided it was finally time to take down Jafaki. So, heading over to his lab, entered it, and a very torn Torren stayed back initially. Thanks to some quick strikes from Bags, Jafaki was quickly laid to rest. Upon retuning to the floor above to return the body to Chafkhem, our heroes saw he was gone, and left an apology letter for Asterion.
Our heroes then decided to delve deeper into the vaults. Descending to the deepest level they had explored, they encountered a strange creature with a large mouth, locked away in a room. It declared it had no interest in conversing with minions and stated that Belcorra wanted answers from Urevian directly.
Moving on, our heroes found a small imp in another room. The imp shared some information but sought to make a deal, which our heroes declined before proceeding further.
Going through another door they came across a skeletal dragon like being. It questioned our heroes with strange questions, rather than engage in combat. After a bit of conversation it let our heroes head off.
Their exploration led them to a hallway where a zebub and its companions were taking inventory. The zebub offered help in exchange for the big bull spending a month aiding with inventory. This didn’t sit well with our heroes, resulting in a battle where they vanquished the entire group.
Next, they entered a forge, where a devil blacksmith correctly assumed they had slain the bothersome zebub outside. He thanked them and offered to overlook their presence just this once. However, upon learning that he possessed a pendant fragment, they engaged in combat. Utilizing slowing effects and some teleportation tactics, they defeated him and secured the fourth pendant fragment.
