Our heroes pressed forward, immediately fixating on the barnacle-covered figure before them—Gar Shatterkeel, the leader of the cultists, accompanied by the shark rider who had fled earlier. Tension filled the air as they exchanged words, Gar showing an unusual curiosity toward Isaac. Though the conversation began civilly, both sides soon agreed that the only way forward was battle.
The fight began swiftly. The heroes struck down the shark and its rider, leaving Gar alone to face them. With mastery over frozen spells, he conjured ice and bitter cold, but despite his power, he was eventually overcome. Upon his defeat, Gar’s form dissolved into water, disappearing entirely—leaving behind only his weapon. Eeyore, unimpressed by its grandeur, dubbed the mighty trident simply “a fork.”
With Gar gone, the group continued exploring, eventually encountering insectoid creatures guarding a staircase. The guardians informed them that they were not permitted to pass, and Isaac, after a moment’s thought, agreed to leave peacefully.
Their next stop was Thuluna, the hag who had promised them a powerful sword in exchange for Gar’s defeat. True to her word, she handed over the weapon. With that transaction completed, she offered them another task—eliminate the remaining human cultists. The heroes, with little hesitation, accepted.
On their way to hunt down the last remnants of the cultists, they encountered a troll beneath a bridge. Unlike their typical monstrous encounters, this one was friendly, providing useful directions before sending them on their way.
Their mission was clear, and they carried it out with precision, cutting down the remaining humans before taking a brief detour to speak with a group of bugbears. After the conversation, the heroes pressed on, eventually arriving at a strange room filled with jars. Curiosity got the better of them, and upon opening one, they were immediately attacked by a bizarre water elemental-like creature.
Recovering from the surprise attack, they continued deeper into the lair, where they found one last group of cultists. Though some were cut down in the ensuing fight, the rest were left behind, unable to push past the door in their retreat.
