On the new day, our heroes seemed to be unable to heal poor Dave, as he kept getting injured whenever they tried to treat his wounds. They ended up deciding to fight in their current conditions. They moved in to what they believed to be the Kobold’s boss. They noticed one up above sitting on the throne and started to call her Matt’s wife.
Christmas started the fight, stepping in and immediately killing one of the kobolds. Fang started to use his magic, hitting both his “wife” as well as the other remaining Kobold. Dave also shot at her. She was angered and retaliated by shooting 3 magic missiles at Dave, hurting the already injured Dave and yelling at him about how he hurt her. Our heroes quickly dispatched the remaining 2 Kobolds.
They found a chest in the room. Christmas tried picking the lock but was unable to. Looking back around the room he found a key on “wifey”. They key opened the chest, and they got a few magic items. They also noticed a large broken egg in the room. Unsure of what was inside, but they realized it must be dangerous.
They continued to the next room, which was covered in mushrooms that gave off a faint glow, illuminating the room. They heard some growling and movement from one corner of the room. As Christmas approached suddenly a green dragon wyrmling shot out. It growled at the intruders. Christmas acted first, taking the opportunity to surprise and seriously injure the dragon. In retaliation the dragon breathed its poison breath on Christmas, scaring him to death. The other members of the party each did their own to help. Dave tried to have his bear help Christmas, who had stepped away from the dragon. The dragon then used its poison breath on the bear and left it to die. Fang was unsure what to do. His teammates suggested he summon his broom construct, since it would help with flanking and distract it long enough for Christmas to sneak in and take a shot. Dave also went in with his new flaming longsword. Finally they managed to kill the baby dragon.
They tried to get as much off the dragon as they could. In the end they just took it’s head and claws.They also made sure to heal some of their wounds before heading further into the cave. After a few more twists and turns they came out on the beach, able to see Iitore and the fishery. They then did a bit of shopping and visited the bank before heading back there where there was a bag with each of their names and 10 gold in it, with the exception of Christmas who’s bag had a name and picture. They were also informed that they had a room paid for them at the local inn.
Our random group went to the inn briefly, before heading to a restaurant for a drink and a meal. They didn’t allow Dave’s bear in until they were told he was a service animal. After they ate they headed back to the inn. Upon mentioning Mirari, they were informed they each had a premium suite paid for, which included a massage, which Dave took them up on the massage and had a wonderful massage, refreshing him.
As the group settled in for the night, the 10 gold they had been paid started to shake in their bags. Including the gold in Fang’s bag, that he had deposited in the bank. It rushed out and broke through Fang’s window. As it woke each of them up and gained their attention, each tried to deal with it in different names, including Xavier who electrified it to melt it. The gold then formed an arrow pointing out to the beach. Fang freaked out a bit and got Dave’s attention, who went off to do some additional shopping, buying some arrows. Eventually Fang alerted some staff that he was shot at and they called the police. He then was given another room. As the police were investigating, Xavier talked with them and eventually pulled the fire alarm.
As the police started to examine more, each of our heroes in the hotel approached the windows in their room, and the gold started to form foot paths for them, leading to Mirari on the beach. He greeted them and asked if that’s all that was coming. He was informed that Dave should be coming as well. Once they were all there he told them they were leaving this place, as he believed there was much more to the world than Ramatos. They got on his boat and they headed off.
A few hours into the journey, a storm, though a rare occurrence, started to form. The winds picked up, the ocean waters formed into large devastating waves, lighting and thunder could be seen and heard when all of a sudden, bam, right through the middle of the boat and Xavier lightning struck. The boat was torn in two. Mirary tried to use his magic to save everyone, but all he managed to do was somehow save Xavier’s life. Our heroes started to sink beneath the water as they began to drown. Passing out one by one.
All of a sudden, Christmas and Fang woke up. They were in a small village, with mud and straw huts. They were lying in very uncomfortable beds, when an old woman approached. Yahoo was the first thing that came out of her mouth. She was pleased to see they woke up, as they had been unconscious for a few days. She introduced herself as Grandma Yahoo, although Fang refused to call her this and was only willing to call her by her name, Penny. She mentioned they found her washed up on shore a few days ago. This was the village of Pescaria. Shortly after Xavier and Dave woke up. They learned that these people knew nothing of Ramatos. The year was also much earlier than they knew, as instead of benign in the 7000s it was only in the 3000s.
They looked around the village a bit. Granny Yahoo told them they could stay at her inn if they wanted, while they found work. They occasionally had sailor’s stop by, they might know of this island known as Ramatos. If they paid for a month up front she’d half the cost. Our heroes did not take her up on this offer, instead exploring the village. They encountered an alchemist shop, and learned rumours that a band of mercenaries known as Abadar’s Blade had come under fire under suspicions of kidnapping recently. As officials started to look into this, the leader of the Blades, Porvel Willoblade, disappeared, adding to the suspicions. Their base of operation was in the forest to the north, a path to the city to the north would split to the west to reach their base.
