Infra Session 10 Recap

Session 10

After arriving back in Pescaria, our heroes rested a bit while they sent Evelyn’s familiar to speak with the blades. About 7 days later the bird came back and told our travellers that the Blades were on their way. While waiting for the Blades, each hero tried to make a bit of extra income. One day a couple of orcs strolled into town. They seemed to have an issue with Agre the ogre, particularly the one rough and tough barbarian. While showing aggression, Christmas suggested a friendly little contest, which both sides were happy to agree to, especially Agre who wanted to try orc.

The original contest was going to be against the bigger orc and Agre. The villagers were split upon who they were going to bet on, although there were a few more in favor of Agre. The smaller orc stepped in as well as said he would fight too. With that everyone changed their bet to the 2 orcs. Evelyn then decided to bet on poor Agre.

They drew a circle in the ground and the fight started. The big orc charged for and attacked, getting some nasty hits in. Luckily for Agre, Evelyn was secretly casting some spells to change the odds in her favour. Agre hit back, biting into the big orc and slashing him with his great axe. The second orc maintained some spells helping out his friend and tried hitting Agre too.

The fight continued for a bit, until Agre fell. Luckily, Evelyn had cast a healing spell on him, and Agre stood back up and started biting away again. Fang grew suspicious of this and tried questing Evelyn but didn’t notice anything. Eventually Agre bit through the large orc, swallowing pieces of him, before moving on to the smaller orc, which was much easier to bite into, even though Agre fell unconscious a couple of times during the fight.

As Christmas raised Agre’s arm in victory, Fang shot him with an acid arrow, melting him into a gruesome pile of goo. The townsfolk were taken aback by this. They stayed away from these travellers a bit more afterwards.

Another set of orcs arrived in town the next day, Sion the barbarian and Zuko the cleric of Lubaiko. They talked with our travellers and agreed to work together. The group met the blades outside of town. Akkar claimed to have come in peace to help his friend, having come with a group of 15 or so blades. When Zuko lit a torch and threw it on the ground in a forest, one of the guards put it out, stating such a thing was dangerous. Zuko was upset by this. Akkar and Ducai’s stories didn’t match up. The Blades said they could get the truth with someone with a Zone of Truth spell. The travellers insisted they go back and get it. Whie unhappy, Akkar agreed to this but was stationing some men to keep watch over the town.

Our travellers discussed some more and in the end decided not to wait and sent for Akkar. They discussed and agreed to the following terms. Zuko would be paid a weeks salary in exchange for forgiving the affront against him. The group’s payment would be increased. The Blades would back our travellers in creating their own association. This was under probation, as they expected them to act more honorably than they had so far, and to not risk burning down forests.
