Infra Session 12 Recap

The next day Rudolph joined the rest of the party with a revived Fang, who was very angry about the whole ordeal. They met with King Leos. Rudolph told Leos that he had some very interesting information to learn. As they introduced themselves, the king insisted on formality, and would not have it when the party tried to have their own way. Upon learning that both Fang and Christmas were from Ramatos, the king immediately asked what they meant.

He explained how those from Ramatos are never friendly, they are monsters, and no one knows much about them. Through some ancient texts and findings they know they learned of Ramatos, but still most of the information remains unknown. He wanted to learn as much information as he could, the plan would be to launch a full scale attack on Ramatos when possible. Evelyn questioned the king on his effectiveness, claiming he should have more information and insulting him. Leos was not quite happy with the conversation.

The king was also intrigued by Christmas’ claim to be from Pleasant Manors, as this was a town on the western continent of Bastralle. Christmas was unsure of this, as he knew for a fact that from there and that it was a place on Ramatos. Leos brought the war room with a map of the world. While looking through the map, Fang and Christmas looked over the map but found no island resembling Ramatos. Fang did however notice that the shape of the west side of Bastralle looked like the side of the island or Ramatos, almost as if the 2 would fit together like a puzzle piece. And next to that area was Pleasant Manors.

The king asked them to investigate, and he would pay them to do so. While the conversation was happening, Sion saw a storm starting to form, and as lightning struck someone appeared at the bottom where lightning struck. Wearing weird headgear and armor. When Sion mentioned this Rudolph rushed out, and the king mentioned these were the Ramatosians. The party suggested they may be able to help. Leos looked skeptical but asked if they were sure, they said they could for the right price. Leos agreed to the price of 100 gold per head.

Christmas leapt at the opportunity and jumped out the window, using his jade cat to avoid falling damage. He started to engage with them but as more and more appeared they basically ignored Christmas, each going for a seemingly random citizen. A few of the people that appeared did not have the same visors, but besides that were dressed the same.

As Evenlyn and Zuko joined the fight, they were both targeted as well, with Evelyn being captured using some sort of gun or something. Once she was, lightning struck and she disappeared. Fang and Christmas noticed what seemed to be a bald version of Mirari, with a tattooed face. Going up to him, he seemed to recognize them, but he seemed to be struggling to speak with them. With a lightning flash they were all brought on board a ship. The captive that Mirari had was not with them but rather in a cage, as were many others, including Evelyn. Mirari asked them if there was anyone else with them. Fang mentioned the 2 below and Evelyn. Christmas asked for the gun. Mirari gave the gun to Christmas with jagged movements, then said something and waved his hand, and Evelyn, Christmas, and Fang were back on the ground.

They noticed Rudolph, on the ground bleeding. Fang thought this was his opportunity, however Christmas gave him a potion of healing. Fang then grumbled and reluctantly helped heal Rudolph, grumbling the whole time about how someday he would kill Rudolph. The group then returned to the castle. They tried going to the throne room but learned the King wasn’t there. They were escorted to the medical ward.

Zuko and SIon stayed behind however, with Zuko trying to distract the guard, rather not well, and Scion trying to swipe whatever he could. He also left the war room window open a crack. The rest of the party met with the king, he asked them how many heads they had and how much he owed. Embarrassed, they admitted they did not have any. The king tossed one head their way, saying he got one.

Evelyn noticed the goggles on the head, and taking them office noticed they seemed to have a different read on different people. Fang and Christmas had an odd, almost static like reading. Evenlyn determined this would first allow them to identify those from Ramatos. She also believed it to identify magic levels. Fang asked where the body was, and went to find it. Evelyn asked what was going on when the king killed the person, and learned that the Ramatosian was trying to take the young daughter of the local bakers. Evelyn asked them to find her and bring her here.

Upon seeing the last girl, her readings were a bright red, more so than anyone else Evelyn had seen to date. She suggested to the king she had an idea as to what could be done, and wanted him to communicate with people from other countries on the continent. Fang came back with the body. Leos  and Christmas negotiated a price for him to go to Pleasant Manors and investigate Pleasant Manors, 1000 gold, paid food and transportation, and 100 gold up front. They then went to a room where Fang began looking through the dead Ramatosian’s body. Tearing it apart. The armor she was wearing had chips in it that all seemed burnt, as did her body. Fang found nothing else though.

Evelyn decided to stay behind, and Christmas was torn. Part of him wanted to go to Pleasant MAnors, but part of him wanted to stay with Evenlyn. Sion snuck off to obtain certain goods. A few days later they all headed out. It was a long journey, and Christmas almost died taking some of Sion’s drugs, but they partied the entire way there. Upon arriving in Bersalle they immediately went to Pleasant Manors.

Everything there was as Christmas remembered. He found a secret entry to the underworld of Pleasant Manors in a bookshelf in a tavern. Met people he remembered. And everyone cheered for him. Here he learned he had apparently been the most wanted man for 1000s of years, and it had been over 200 years since he was last here. He met a young man named Traven Bloodfallen, whom he took an interest in.
