As our heroes were ready to retire for the evening they headed to the Tavern to the Winds, an adventurer’s guild. The king had sent word and they provided our heroes with membership without the need for a trial first. When they were there they met a Lizardfolk named Scalez. Scalez stared and admired our heroes, as they matched the rumored heroes he had heard about.
As he was staring, Nitsuka spoke to him. The groups talked and Nitsuka decided Scalez would join the party. With that the group headed to their individual rooms, except for Zuko, who informed the party he would head home to mourn his friend Scion, having time to reflect on his death now that the world calmed down. Nitsuka took her kitsune form and headed out to try and see what she could steal. BK went down and spoke with the receptionist. He wanted to hire people to tail his party. Upon learning of the cost however he decided to look for someone himself.
As Nitsuka was skulking around she found a house that seemed ripe for picking. As she snuck in a couple of children ran into the room where she was and their mother followed behind them chasing them. The mother noticed Nitsuka and let out a blood curdling scream as Nitsuka ran off. Nitsuka snuck off into the streets, as BK saw the kitsune skulking away. He tried to chase her, yelling out he wanted to pay her but she ignored him.
Upon returning to the inn BK tried to get a bounty on the kitsune. The price was too high so she settled on information. In the morning, when Nitsuka saw the price, she talked with the receptionist and BK and paid the difference to make it a bounty, also insisting that there was no need for the kitsune to be dead. Our heroes then waited until the festival. Some worked to make a bit of money. BK tried talking with the king about making an alliance with Magia and Inimiga. Leos, while open to it, has indicated there seems to be no interest from the other parties. BK also wanted to have a festival with the fox as a type of event or mascot, which the king was none too pleased with. BK kept talking and testing the king’s patient but ended up leaving. BK then made a little fox face on various buildings in the night, although they were washed off in the morning.
The morning of the festival, the king’s men came for our heroes. Fang insisted he was sick and so the guards allowed him to stay in his room and wished him well, offering to have some chicken soup brought to him. Nitsuka also did not go with the party, choosing instead to go in the streets. Sparky, Scalez, and BK went with the king’s men and stood on the float through the parade.
During the parade, a man came in claiming that our heroes were in fact fake heroes, and that he and his companions were the true heroes. BK countered this, and upon learning the man was a cleric tried to get him to pray to his god. The cleric was more than happy to. BK then tried to get him to heal him, and while this didn’t work at first, he then used an area of effect to heal everyone in the area, hurting BK a bit. BK then revealed himself to be a skeleton, causing the crowd to run away in fear and the fake hero to start attacking BK. BK insisted he didn’t want his companions to do anything, and after a bit of fighting, Nitsuka took on the form of the king, and ordered the heroes out of town as he knew our group was the true heroes, and he had tasked them with the task. The fake heroes then took off, although the crowds had not yet settled down.
