As morning came and time resumed, our heroes started waking up. All of a sudden, a portal appeared in the middle of the ship. Flowers surrounded this portal when a small goblin plopped out. Wide eyed the goblin looked at this new place he was in with wonder. The group was on guard, pulling their weapons out and pointing them at him, asking him what he was doing. He introduced himself as Zsz’dax Helvy’ghym, a friend of Titania, who sent him to help a group consisting of a halfling, a tortle, a tabaxi, and a dragonborn to help restore the giant’s ordoning. Our heroes eventually gave in and decided to trust him, for now. They made preparations and headed out for the Morkoth.
Once there they ambushed it by throwing a necklace of fireball, killing some men immediately. The remaining members sounded the alarm and people came rushing out. A spellcaster quickly put out the fire that had been lit, as the men started readying and firing the ballistas. The spellcaster quickly got out and started shooting some lightning bolts at our party. Zesh, flying around, ended up getting hit and knocked unconscious. Gond was not done with her yet however as he brought her back and she continued to rain destruction on the enemies. They took the enemies on their way to rescuing Hekaton. Zesh tried dispelling the magic, and felt it take effect briefly before it grasped Hekaton again.
They decided to try breaking the chains. Kida swung her greatsword and smashed through the chains like nothing, while Zsz’dax was digging them out of the wall carefully. Upon coming to Hekaton stood up and started swinging the chains around, calling out our heroes as members of the lords alliance and traitors. Zsz’dax quickly misty stepped in front of the King’s face and explained as quick as he could that they were sent to save him and restore the ordning. He managed to convince the king, especially upon seeing the conch the Zesh had. They then used the conch to return to the Maelstrom, the storm giant home. Serissa was overjoyed upon seeing her father again. He thanked our heroes, and learning the full details of what happened gave our heroes a hefty reward.
He then asked our heroes if they would be willing to assist in his fight against the dragonIymrith. They agreed, and he told them he would contact them when he knew where she was. He would also work on stopping other giants, but gave our heroes information on how to find the other giant lords if they wanted to take action. He then brought them to the meditation room where they could attune and teleport.
Our heroes decided to have Zsz’dax attune to the room, and to go home. So he took them to his goblin home far far to the south of the world. Very annoyed, our heroes waited till the next day and returned to the Maelstrom. Confused Hekaton asked what happened, and our heroes informed him just a small mishap. With that, they teleported to Silverymoon to continue their giant hunt as time froze once more.
