Following the loss of Asterion, the heroes took time to recuperate in town, mourning their fallen comrade and preparing for the battles ahead. Just as they were readying themselves to return to the ruins, an elf traveler arrived at the Thirsty Alpaca, searching for Asterion. Learning of his tragic fate, the stranger introduced himself as Ptepses—Asterion’s husband—bound by duty to complete the unfinished work of his fallen love.
With their new companion by their side, the heroes ventured once more into the depths of the vaults. As Torren took the lead in pulling the boat underwater, the group pressed on in their exploration. Their journey soon brought them face-to-face with a krooth, a creature that used the waters to its advantage. As it lunged at Torren, the party sprang into action, diving beneath the surface to assist. After an intense fight, they emerged victorious. However, amidst the chaos, Dreg enlarged Bingus, to even gtreather levels than expected, leaving Bingus unsure of how to navigate his new size.
Seeking respite, the heroes settled in to rest—but the vaults offered little peace. A dread wraith materialized through a wall, striking without warning. Though weary, the party rallied and defeated the spectral menace. Recognizing the need for recovery, they chose to withdraw deeper into the vaults to heal, knowing that many more dangers lay ahead.
With new blood among their ranks and fresh threats lurking in the shadows, the heroes brace themselves for the challenges still to come.
