- Our heroes fought the bird-like statues that came to life, although one managed to grab Valora she quickly teleported out with misty step. As our heroes were in the middle of the fight a giant goat came running down the mountain. Valora quickly turned it into an eagle which then head bashed Zeltron, stunning it briefly before our heroes finished off all of the enemies.
- Our heroes eventually all made it past the gate, where Zeltron smashed through a nearby door heading upstairs in a tower. There he fought some snow maidens and found a wand of winter before rejoining with the rest of the group.
- As they continued on they saw Strahd sitting on his horse in the middle of the bridge, approaching it however they realized it was just an illusion.
- Continuing on a bit further they realized it would be too cold for them to continue without potential consequences, the group was split as to how to proceed. In the end Valora and Glass went back to town to get cold weather clothing as Zeltron marshed ahead to the temple and Freya simply sat and waited for both parties.
- As the group gathered back up a giant bird swept down and took one of the horses Valora and Glass rode back.
- The group rested and headed back out the next day, however as they did the illusion of Strahd was no longer an illusion. The group fought, with Zeltron getting a couple of big hits on Strahd’s horse, who then proceeded to grapple Zeltron and drop him to the ground below. Glass dived into the river below as Strahd returned to the bridge where Valora and Freya were waiting. Freya managed to kill Strahd’s horse before Strahd charmed her, then taking the fight to Zeltron one on one before eventually retreating.
