- After getting the staff identified, Zeltron headed back to Argynvostholt to try and convince Vladimir to join them again. Vladimir ended up fighting Zeltron, who killed him, as Vladimir laughed saying this wouldn’t be the end of him.
- Zeltron then started combat with some of Vladimir’s men, but decided to withdraw.
- Meanwhile, Glass and Freya went looking for Valora, whom they found in the Vistani camp. She had decided she could no longer travel with the group, but had met an elf she believed would be able to assist in the demise of Strahd, Camus.
- Glass left a message for Zeltron at the Blue Water Inn as he, Freya, and Camus headed for Castle Ravenloft.
- Zeltron joined them on the way, and although the gate was up our heroes flew up and over, to the highest point available. At the top of the Castle they encountered a locked chest, as they started to open it Strahd appeared through the floor and ambushed our heroes. Although he began to withdraw once he was injured, Freya wished him back, and he quickly ran again.
- Camus had summoned a devil but lost control of it, as our heroes fought against it Camus chased after Strahd, losing track of him.
- Our heroes eventually came across Rahadin, who proceeded to attack our heroes and call for Strahd, bringing about a second encounter. Although they managed to kill Strahd’s faithful servant, the devil managed to elude our heroes once again.
- Our heroes continued to explore the castle, coming into a room with a white fire and an hourglass. Camus and Glass rushed past it, but Zeltron and Frya examined it a bit, realizing they could use it to teleport. They found what they believed to be Strahd’s tomb, as three vampire’s in wedding dresses attacked Freya’s Echo, sending her back.
- Meanwhile, Glass and a gaseous Camus found Sergei’s tomb, and one more tomb with a magical barrier. Glass cast Dispel Magic on the barrier as Zeltron and Freya rejoined the group.
