- Strahd visited Valora and Twinkletoes at the Blood On the Vine tavern. The innkeeper knocked on the door to wake the two up and told them they had a visitor, and this wasn’t optional.
- Valora went downstairs, and although initially her attitude wasn’t welcoming, she couldn’t resist Strahd’s charm. She went and brought Twink down as well, Strahd offered her a potion of healing.
- Before leaving, Strahd took a little taste of Valora, biting her and drinking her blood, snapping her back to her senses. Strahd suggested both of them also visit the church for midnight.
- Our heroes headed to the church, where they saw hundreds of ghosts of different races all heading towards a castle in the distance.
- On their way back to their respective beds, Zorrion snuck into Bildrath’s to steal a bit of gold.
- The next day Twink stopped by Bildrath’s to do some shopping, she learned off the theft as the price increased. After verifying with Zorrion, she shared some information with Bildrath, in exchange for a promise that he wouldn’t kill Zorrion. Bildrath sent his nephew, Parriwimple, to deal with Zorrion.
- Parriwimple went to the burgomaster’s and fought with Zorrion, forgetting about the promise not to kill him, but Zorrion managed to survive. Luckily they managed to convince Parri that Zorrion had not stolen.
- The group gathered and brought Ireena and Ismark’s father to the church for his burial. There they met the priest, Donavich, who while willing to conduct a ceremony for the burial, did not think it was a good idea for Ireena to go to Vallaki but rather to the Abbey of Saint Markovia. Our heroes also heard someone crying out that they were hungry, they learned that Donavich’s son had left to fight Strahd with a wizard about a year ago, most died, but his son came back as a vampire. Donavich had imprisoned him in the basement.
- Our heroes headed out of town with Ireena, deciding to head for Vallaki.
- At a crossroad they saw a gallow and a sign, with a couple different ways they could go. Our heroes took the upper path.
- As our heroes were heading along the road they encountered a pack of wolves which quickly attacked them. Aduial went down but the party managed to kill off the wolves, they noticed the wolves did not attack Ireena, not even once.
