Infra Session 13 Recap

Since the legends stated that Christmas causes chaos, Christmas decided to delegate the chaos to the party’s sorcerer, master of magic and chaos, the goblin Fang. Fang quickly decided to delegate back to Christmas. After some arguing between the two Scott interjected, and the group eventually came to a decision. They decided they would burn down one of the Emerald Turtle’s warehouses. Christmas lead the way through the sewers, leading to a secret exit to a Turtle warehouse. Christmas tried moving the heavy stone exit, but was unable to, so Sion moved up and shoved it aside.

Seeing a huge warehouse several stories high, our heroes were unsure what to do, but eventually lit the place on fire. They lit more and more on fire before Christmas decided to take a piss on the fire, but by then it did not do much. They then headed back to the sewers, before finding a way back to the surface. On the surface they saw people heading towards the warehouse on fire. There they learned that the warehouse was magically warded yet somehow things were lit on fire.

The group then decided they wanted to get a Royal Tigers insignia. They made plans to take on a couple of guards on patrol. Christmas would pretend to be a woman being robbed with his hat of disguise, while Fang would attempt to rob “her”. They would then ambush the guards in an alley as Christmas fled and Fang chased, hoping the guards would also give chase. Everything went to plan, as Christmas and Fang pulled of the act perfectly, however Fang didn’t answer when asked how much the woman had on her, so the guards just shrugged it off.

Turning around Christmas and Fang realized the guards had not followed, and the group made a new strategy. Having reached his daily limit on his hat, Christmas would simply reveal himself. This plan worked much better, as the guards saw Christmas as a quick way to a lot of easy money. They were ambushed and quickly killed, as our group argued about what to do. Some wanted to take the insignia, some wanted to burn them, there was discussion on taking one body or both. Finally Sion got mad and smashed through a wall hulk style. A woman saw him and screamed, at which point Sion exclaimed this was from the Emerald Turtles. The group then ran back to the sewers. Zuko had the feeling someone was watching but didn’t see anyone.

Getting ready for rest, Christmas went to his room. There was a locked metal door, with a card reader next to it. Christmas’ men were surprised he didn’t have his card with him, but he insisted he lost it somewhere. He tried picking the lock but failed, then tried opening the card reader and mess around with it, he was however not familiar with it. Fang decided to give it a try, and started playing with the wires, including using the anti grav gun, but nothing helped. They gave up. Christmas noticed at some point someone had put a piece of paper in his pocket, asking him to meet at 1007 Tortuga Street. Something which when he shared the note with is companions, it was noticed this was the same address as the wanted poster.

The group decided to head over the next day, where they found a jewelry shop belonging to the Emerald Turtles. Our group tried to pass off as having captured Christmas, and the shopkeeper insisted on handcuffing Christmas. After much persuasion he managed to, he then brought the group through to a back room. There they saw the most beautiful elven women they had ever seen, long black flowing hear, a black dress with spots that was almost like looking up into the night sky. She introduced herself as Emma, and thanked our group. She showed the coin upon being asked, but only Fang went into the room. The shopkeep returned to the entrance. The floor then opened up, causing Fang to fall. Meanwhile, the shopkeep had released Christmas and told him that lady Emma would see him momentarily. Our group convinced Emma that they were actually allies of Christmas, and she called the shopkeep and Christmas over.

They learned that Emma was the leader of the Nightfall family. She was well aware of Christmas being from Ramatos, and was unsure as to why Christmas was here as he hadn’t been summoned. She learned that he had come on behalf of Reino to learn of the connection between Ramatos and Pleasant Manors. After some more talking they were invited to a banquet later that evening, and were provided with nice clothing for the occasion.

At the banquet they had the opportunity to eat amazing food and see quite a large community of nobles. After a bit, lady Emma addressed the crowd, as a wall slowly lit up before showing our group. Christmas and Fang recognized this as a tv, although to the rest of the group it was new. Lady Emma then announced that the fake Christmas would be the entertainment for the evening. With that, once more the floor dropped and our heroes landed in a lush jungle like area. They were promptly attacked by a couple of creatures identified by Christmas as blink dogs, and a suit of moving armor. Sion smashed through everything with his large maul.

Looking around, Zuko found a gold necklace. Picking it up he felt compelled to go a certain way. Oddly enough the group followed him without questioning anything. Apparently this group should never discuss anything and just do things. They came to a door which Zuko quickly opened. Walking in the room was almost like a vault. A large brown creature, with 4 legs, 2 arms, a tail, and red crystal like protrusions on its body greeted them. Zuko walked up to the creature and gave it his gold. The creature then struck Zuko down.
Our group began to fight the creature, Christmas running to the other side of it. Scott then left the room and closed the door. Fang shot magic, as Sion ran up and started smashing. Scott eventually came back as well. Each time the beast bit someone they could feel acid burning through their skin, yet also felt compelled to give the creature an item. Finally, Christmas seeing what seemed like some gold coming out its rear, shoved his weapon in, causing it enough pain and distracting it so that the rest of the group finished it off. At various times through the fighting they could hear booing and cheers. Clearly they were being watched.
