Infra Session 22 Recap

Session 22

Our heroes made their way out of the tree, this time thanks to Sparky, they were able to simply open the gate. As soon as they were out Zonku left the party. Our heroes saw that the rotting trees in the forest, all the undead, the miaska, everything was now gone. The forest was beautiful, they could hear the sound of birds chirping and breathed in fresh air. Our remaining heroes rejoined the 3 prisoners that had stayed with them and started leaving the forest. 

On their way out they encountered a new friend, a cheerful, charismatic, and head strong woman named Nitsuka. She quickly looked over the group, and upon learning that they were responsible for the white wave that had destroyed the undead, she decided to join the group, or rather, she decided the group would join her. She quickly jumped on a horse next to one of the prisoners, Bob. Nitsuka made Bob feel rather uncomfortable and threatened, but Fang assured him that he would protect Bob from Nitsuka. Nitsuka just smiled and claimed Bob was her best friend.

Further along, as they were about to exit the forest, they encountered a being covered in armor. He seemed to be suffering and in pain. Our heroes kept their distance but did make conversation with them. He eventually revealed himself to be a Skeleton who went by BK. Our heroes agreed to take him along with them as well. Upon leaving the forest they saw an ape with an oddly familiar witch’s hat.

As our heroes rested for the night, while on watch Fang heard some laughter in the distance. As he looked he noticed a group of hyenas, one larger than the other 3. Fang woke up Nitsuka, but as the two were talking, the hyenas approached further and attacked, swarming on Nitsuka, their closest target. Sparky woke up as Nitsuka cried out in pain as she was bit. Crawling away Sparky cast a lightning bolt, as Nitsuka attacked with her rapier. Finally, Fang decided to end things with a fireball spell, hitting Nitsuka as well, knocking her unconscious. Sparky was able to heal her up, as sparky managed to get some nice pelts.

As our heroes hit the road once again, they encountered a caravan. Thanks to Sparky’s excellent eyesight, he was able to describe the insignia on the caravan well enough for Fang to recognize it as the Seranoa Trading Company. Approaching them Fang was greeted by Benedict. The two talked, and Benedict learned what Fang and Sparky had accomplished. While purchasing some things, Fang wanted to know what BK could do before giving him a rune. Benedict called a man named Erador over. 

Erador was a loud cheerful man covered in armor. He agreed to a sparring match with BK. He got a regular shield from Benedict and engaged in a fight with BK. Although BK’s first attacks missed, Erador slipped and fell, upon getting back up and attacking again, Benedict gave him a scowling gaze. Erador was then hit by BK’s spellstrike and immediately fell to the ground crying out in pain. Some of our group did not believe Erador’s cries of pain, but others did. With that Erador went to go get a drink, and Nitsuka followed him. He bought her round after round of fine wine, the both of them getting drunk.

The group argued as to where to go, with Fang wanting to go to Reino but BK wanting to go Magia, along with the Serenoa Trading Company. In the end, Fang won and the group returned to Reino. The group headed off, arriving in Reino a few days later.

Fang didn’t want anyone to know that he and Sparky were responsible, but BK had his fun and made sure people knew what happened. Fang asked for a private audience with King Leos, which he was granted. There he told Leos what happened. The group talked and learned the king had emissaries on their way to both Inimiga and Magia. They asked if they could take over the role of emissary for Magia. Leos, although hesitant as he revealed his son was the emissary to Magia, eventually agreed. He also wanted to throw a festival in honor of our heroes.
