- Our group of heroes decided to find Darwar, speaking with him some more about the whole situation of these creatures. His interest peaked upon learning of the location of one of the ancient heroes, and that they were still alive. Our heroes tried to speak with him about the ship which came down into the dwarven mountains, but he wasn’t overly interested in it. Corvus sent his raven to the First requesting a meeting of the 9. Shortly thereafter a summoning was made for the members, as well as our heroes, however Corvus said he wouldn’t be able to join them.
- When our heroes were in the meeting room, they were shocked to see a 9th member who was surrounded by a dark, shadowry fire like aura, too dense to see through even for those with darkvision appeared.
- Our heroes made their pleas to go investigate the mountains and wanted their help, convinced it would aid Magia in the case of a potential war. Truecloak countered and believed it better to inform the people and focus the efforts internally. When the new 9th member spoke, our heroes were shocked to hear Corvus’ voice, finding out he had taken the place of the 9th. After much debate, the nine agreed to take a vote.
- Our heroes learned that the vote was made in favor of allying with the dwarven kingdom for the time being. They were going to send Maeyola with them to help with negotiations. They were also provided with 2 scrolls of teleportation.
- The next day our heroes used a scroll to return to Reino, where they approached prince Seranoa. They believed that their best bet to save king Leos would be to kill and then resurrect him. The prince agreed to this. Upon discussing who would be the one to kill the king, An overly enthusiastic Corvus volunteered, however a more somber Monday took on the responsibility. Azarim did not feel comfortable being used to kill the king, so Corvus loaned him a knife. At almost the exact time that Monday did the deed, the king’s body started to rot, as it had the last time our heroes were here. Fang started the ritual to resurrect Leos, but was informed by Pharasma that she did not have his soul, and did not know where it was.
- Our heroes told prince Seranoa, only for him to be asked to be left alone and leave. Our heroes went to speak to him but found his fiance, a pink haired girl named Frederica. She spoke with our group of heroes, and at first was cordial, and assured them that Seranoa would understand what happened. Corvus however lacked manners implied Seranoa should just get over it before leaving. This angered Frederica and she cast produce flame on him. When Monday tried defending him, her faith in him was lowered.
- Our heroes left the castle and headed to the Tavern to the Winds adventurer’s guild. There they turned in Rudolph’s quest and received their compensation money. While still thinking about what would have gone wrong they realized the same rot occurred last time they were there. Following the train of thought they came to the conclusion that Corvus had killed the king, questioning him he confirmed it, and informed them that his patron would get the souls of anything he killed. Angered, confused, distraught, and torn as to what to do, Monday came to the decision that Corvus was too dangerous to keep around and ended his life and the threat he presented.
