Deep within the Cradle of Quartz, our heroes stumbled upon a strange sphere, its purpose unknown. Their investigation led them to a loose tile, revealing a hidden passage into the spehere—and on the other side, Kosowana, a man haunted by his past. Desperate to reverse time and erase his role in the re-creation of pyronite, he had sought refuge here, believing the ruins held the secrets of time’s flow. Yet, as he admitted with heavy resignation, the Asynchronous Archives had misled him, and he was powerless to change his fate. He had been trapped by the same monstrous predator that had slain Ravhin, relieved only by the news that our heroes had ended its reign of terror. Our heroes also learned from him that Mugland had obtained his formula, and chastised him for letting the formula so accessible.
Pressing forward, the group encountered a ghostly being, who wasted no time in striking, draining their life force. But then, it spoke, revealing a dark truth—the figure had been the one who started the splinter sect, spreading the false belief that Brigh controlled time. When Kosowana learned the deception at the heart of his suffering, the revelation overwhelmed him, and he collapsed in despair.
Battle raged on, and for a moment, the creature’s twisting influence caused the heroes to turn on each other, their minds clouded by its spectral grasp. But their willpower prevailed, and they defeated the entity, its echoes fading into the ruins.
Their journey continued deeper into the sarcophagus chamber, where an ominous stillness permeated the air. As they approached, the coffin stirred to life, threatening our heroes. A fierce battle ensued, and, upon shattering the tomb, they revealed a mummified horror with. The undead terror quickly continued the fight, but the heroes stood resolute, felling the ancient guardian before its curse could spread.
