Our heroes continued their exploration of the current floor, eventually crossing paths with the umber hulk they had previously encountered. Unhappy with the decision to fight the creature, Mitsui left the group, while the rest of the party engaged in battle and ultimately defeated the unfortunate creature.
As they pressed on, our heroes discovered some prisoners. One of them confirmed they were a delegate from Mirabar. The delegate revealed that other delegates had been taken elsewhere, with one even kidnapped by people riding giant vultures.
The investigation led them to uncover a secret tunnel leading out of the area.
Deciding to head down to the floor below, our heroes encountered some gargoyles on a narrow bridge. The gargoyles tried to push them off, but the heroes seemed almost immune to being shoved and managed to stay on the bridge, ultimately defeating the gargoyles.
Beyond the bridge, they came upon a broken door. Spotting some hobgoblins, Yurian seized the opportunity and took his shot, dealing significant damage to one of them.
