While traveling through treacherous lands, the group found themselves ambushed by a powerful swarm of Ankheg. These beasts, more fearsome than any they had encountered before, unleashed a brutal assault. Their acidic attacks seared flesh, and one managed to grab Isaac, dragging him underground and nearly claiming his life.
Amid the chaos, a peculiar stranger came to their aid—a muscular, two-headed man wearing a “tuque,” known to most as a beanie. With remarkable skill, he wielded strange weapons, stabbing through the ground to slay the final Ankheg. After the battle, he introduced himself as Eeyore, explaining that he hailed from a cold land called Canada. Guided by visions of elemental disasters, he had been wandering, searching for a way to help. He readily agreed to join the group on their journey.
Upon examining the slain Ankhegs, the group discovered a sinister symbol carved into their bodies—the same mark they had encountered in their dealings with the cultists. This eerie discovery urged them onward.
Their path led to a fort tied to rumors of pirate activity. After lengthy deliberations on their approach, Eeyore boldly took the lead, urging those ready to fight to stay behind as he advanced to the gates. The guards challenged them, but after introductions, the group was escorted inside to meet the fort’s leader. The initial conversation turned tense when Eeyore mentioned his visions and his intent to stop the impending disasters. The leader’s demeanor shifted, hostility brewing in the air.
