In the bustling city of Yartar, our heroes temporarily split to pursue their own goals. Eeyore wandered into a shop and treated himself to a few shiny new acquisitions. Isaac, on a quest for the finest ale, stumbled into an unexpected conversation with Monday, a Warforged and devout champion of Cayden Cailean. Monday offered him a Bottomless Stein—but only if Isaac joined the faith. Isaac politely declined the offer (and the drink).
Zonga sought information on the Circle of the Scarlet Moon, and found some druids but they told him they would only share information with other druids. He returned with Xeiros, and together they uncovered information on this enigmatic circle.
Yurian crept through the city’s underbelly, searching for answers from the local thieves’ guild. He discovered that a woman named Nareen, connected to the mysterious orb, worked at the Wink and Kiss Theatre—the very same destination Valerian divined through magic.
After regrouping, the party paid a visit to the theater. When their initial inquiries about the auction were met with puzzled shrugs, some opted to stay and enjoy the show. Upon returning later and pressing Nareen directly, they uncovered more details—along with the revelation that the orb they sought was actually a potential bomb. This revelation caused Nareen to sharply increase her price.
To get closer to the truth, Valerian and Eeyore infiltrated the theater troupe: Valerian taking the lead role of Befdor, while Eeyore played “Giants” in his own very literal interpretation. At the same time, Yurian negotiated with Nareen—if he could get Monday off her case, she would let him see the orb.
While all this unfolded, Eeyore made a bold move. He convinced Nareen to part with the orb for 300 platinum, then promptly leaped out a window, disappeared into the city, and buried the artifact. Moments later, he casually strolled back through the front door as though nothing had happened. Valerian, meanwhile, grew increasingly confused when his Locate Object spell turned up nothing at all.
Yurian managed to find Monday again—this time disguised as an old man—and negotiated a truce by agreeing to go on a date with the Warforged paladin, much to everyone’s quiet amusement.
After a long, chaotic night, the party regrouped and learned the truth behind Eeyore’s sleight-of-hand. While unsure if it had been the wisest plan, they were far more stunned by just how much money he was suddenly carrying. Believing the funds were his to keep, Eeyore had already spent some, but returned the rest to the group, giving everyone a chance to shop in style before their next adventure.
