Our heroes began their journey by examining the corpse of their foe and discovering a few Mirabar trading bars on it. They made their way back to town and encountered Constable Harburk, explaining the situation and convincing him to escort them out.
Mitsui and Isaac stayed behind a bit longer, with Mitsui dragging the dead corpses. As Mitsui passed Grund, he warned Isaac not to follow her and to return the way he came. Isaac, curious, continued talking with Grund. As Mitsui walked, Grund pulled a lever, causing cages to fall and trap her. She skillfully positioned herself in the middle of a cage to avoid being crushed. Isaac then convinced Grund that he had done his job and released Mitsui, inviting Grund to join them on the surface.
On the surface, the group rounded up the believers, with Valerian intimidating them into cooperation. They learned that the believers thought the moving stones warned them of dangers and that a priest had recently come to interpret the warnings. The priest claimed that they had to sacrifice lives to Ogrémoch. Our heroes, skeptical, took the leader of the believers back to the tomb.
Investigating further, the heroes discovered that applying enough force to the floor caused the stones to levitate slightly, making them easy to move around. Using this information, they found a secret exit that led just outside of town. They spent the night recovering and planning the next leg of their journey. They learned about a missing caravan from Mirabar, a tower with sky knights, and scarlet druids rumored to be within the Sumber Hills.
As they journeyed, the group was attacked by a pair of Ankheg that burrowed up from the ground. Mitsui, particularly disliking these creatures, swiftly attacked them with the help of the rest of the group. Notably, the dagger she used made no sound when it sliced through the Ankhegs, despite their hard carapaces.
