- As the dragon landed, Skarr began talking to it. The dragon seemed a bit intrigued, but was wondering why Skarr and Sarah were not cowering in fear, like the others which she pointed out were hiding. As Skarr was talking the dragon approached Sarah, and as she was talking with her the dragon told Sarah to beg for her life. With little fear or concern in her voice, Sarah did as the dragon asked. Unpleased with her display, the dragon took both Skarr and Sarah in her claws and flew up. The dragon dropped Skarr after several hundred feet, but Sarah cast Feather Fall on him. Still showing a lack of fear, the dragon ice breathed Sarah, turning her into a little popsicle before dropping her.
- Sera was able to use revivify to bring Sarah back to life. Elena was very worried about what had been happening.
- Our heroes continued on their journey to Ironmaster, where they managed to get the promise that the request for aid would go to the elders. They also received thanks and some gems as rewards. They also learned that they could learn to ride griffons in Fireshear, which Skarr decided he wanted to go to.
- Our heroes returned to Bryn Shander where they met with the sheriff and shared the information they had learned. They also received a sending stone that had been on Beldora’s body.
- They also saw two people speaking about the Weevil wit the sheriff. They were able to identify the two as being members of the Zhentharim, even though the men identified themselves as agents of Mirabar. Skarr followed them back to their inn. The group then spoke with Sir Baric about this, and confronted the two men, with whom there was a friendly conversation about the Weevil.
- Our heroes made for Fireshear, stopping by Hundelstone on the way. There they met a gnome inventory named Thrip that told our heroes about a person in Everlund named Krowen who could help them with their travel needs.
- Our heroes continued to Fireshear, where they met Dasharra, a retired captain of Waterdeep’s Griffon Cavalry who now raised griffon’s and taught people how to ride them. Our heroes paid for the training and spend the next 3 days learning.
- On the third day our heroes noticed a giant attack coming, Skarr went out and tried to fight them but was in a dangerous situation so ran off. Our heroes managed to evacuate the townsfolk to the mines. The town however was completely destroyed. Our heroes spent a few days helping with some repairs before heading off to Luskan.
- On the road our heroes saw some ogres talking about Grudd Haug and the way to get there. The party decided to hide.
