- Our heroes headed to the side entrance they had noticed earlier, upon approaching the door they were asked who would pay the red tax.
- Ivar went and got the hag corpse and tried to pretend it was speaking, however upon saying he would pay the tax a blood mark appeared on him and the doors opened.
- Upon entering they found a room with some ghostly beings and they detected magic from the sarcophagus at the center of the room. After investigating it for traps, our heroes opened it and found a mace of disruption within. The ghosts gathered around and informed our heroes that they had had to pay the red tax in the past.
- Our heroes continued to explore and came upon a room with a couple of vampires, they also heard someone in the room and engaged in combat. An additional creature came out from one of the coffin’s in the room and stole our heroes’ breath away, but our heroes managed to finish off the enemies.
- In one of the coffins was a woman, Zendra, who had come to hunt the crimson Lord. Unfortunately she had been captured, and after talking with the group, was terrified by Ivar and ran away.
- Our heroes fought off some more vampire spawns and heard some chanting coming from another room, our heroes even heard their own names.
- Barging in, our heroes saw a vampire, some wights, and some shadowy creatures. They quickly killed off the shades, but once they did a devil was summoned in the room and assisted the others. Skarr was brought to the brink of death, unconscious, being held 30 feet in the air but our heroes managed to finish off the enemies and heal him before he died.
